Group Rides: Holiday Lights and Rose Parade Floats
We closed out 2024 with two great events celebrating ICONIC local events! Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate the winter season with us.
Holiday Lights Ride 2024
Altadena is home to the “World Famous” Christmas Tree Lane. On December 7 around 60 people met with us at Memorial Park in Pasadena, and biked together to enjoy the lights, cider, and holiday cheer. Even better, a 2nd group rode the bus together and met us at the event. Christmas Tree Lane is beautiful, and is all the more enjoyable for one night a year when the street is open to pedestrians.
Rose Parade Floats Ride
Of course, nothing says “Pasadena” quite like the Rose Parade. A few days before Rose Parade, we rode our bikes to visit two sites where community members were assembling their floats. We are SO GRATEFUL to the volunteers and staff members who make this event happen, and especially to the folks in Sierra Madre and South Pasadena who welcomed us into their workshops and shared their craft with us. Seeing the floats under construction helped us appreciate the extraordinary detail that goes into these incredible works of art. Photos below, and there’s more on Bluesky.
